Restenosis is a complex process. While the
mechanisms may not be fully understood, stent implantation may cause
endothelial damage and initiate the restenosis matrix - inflamation,
proliferation, migration, and bealing - ultimately resulting in the

Dexamethasone, into its PC - coated stents. |

PC
Technology is applied in a grater amount on the
outer surface of the stent's struts. This creates
a reservoir that delivers Dexamethasone directly
to the arterial wall, minimizing systemic loss of
the drug. Dexamethasone is loaded in a precise concentration
into the PC-coated stent, |

remaining
there until the stent is delivered to the target lesion.
Dexamethasone's structure, combined with PC Technology,
enables the drug to elute into the vessel wall during
the inflammation phase, decreasing the number and activity
of inflammatory cells.
After drug delivery, the PC Technology remains biologically
inert, allowing the stent to be fully endothelialized. |
